Like all Carvers from this time frame the 356 was built on a solid fiberglass hull with a modest deadrise and shallow keel for stability. Key to her enduring popularity was her expansive, wide-open interior with the amenities of a much larger cruising vessel. The salon features a single barrel chair and a full sized leatherette sofa. Forward is a dinette for four adjacent to the galley which features a full sized fridge freezer, 3 burner cooktop, oven and ample storage. The forward berth was redesigned between the 355 and 356 for a larger berth that can sleep two adults and small bunk for a child. The master is spacious with an angled queen and full sized head with a standing shower tall.
